Dr. Kozma specializes in the 19th- and 20th-century Italian novel. Recently she has expanded her research activities into the area of literary translation. She is currently working on her fourth translation of a Deleddan novel, "Le colpe altrui," tentatively to be entitled "The Sins of Others." In recognition of her contributions in the field of Deledda studies, Dr. Kozma was invited to write the preface to the most recent Italian publication of the novel, "Cenere," for the commemorative series on Deledda's novels published by the Unione Sarda, the Sardinian newspaper of record.
