Primary office:

Charles received his Ph.D. in 2012 from the department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at KU after seven years of research on the systematics of lizards from Southeast Asia. His research includes work in six countries on three continents and visits to Natural History Museums in the US, Europe, and Asia. He combines examinations of morphology and DNA sequence data to understand how species are related and what these relationships can tell us about evolution and biogeography.
