Stuart Macdonald

Associate Professor of Molecular Biosciences
Primary office:

Dr. Macdonald is a quantitative geneticist and is interested in how genetic differences among individuals contribute to differences in observable traits such as height and susceptibility to disease. His lab focuses on exploring this question in a model experimental organism, the fruitfly, aiming to identify and characterize the precise genetic changes that influence variation in a number of traits, including male secondary sexual characteristics, and response to drugs such as nicotine.
