(Ph.D., University of Kansas) Dr. Miller teaches courses in American religions, specializing in new religious movements and intentional communities. He has written or edited several books, including America's Alternative Religions, The Quest for Utopia in Twentieth-Century America, The 60s Communes, and Following in His Steps: A Biography of Charles M. Sheldon.
