Professor Moriarty won Elle Magazine's Novel of the Year for The Rest of Her Life (2007). She was a writer in Residence at Phillips Exeter Academy (2000-2001) and is a winner of the Carlin Graduate Teaching Award. Her first novel, The Center of Everything (Hyperion 2003), was a Book-of-the-Month Club and Literary Guild main selection, a USA Today summer reading pick, as well as a Top 10 Pick for the independent bookstores' Book Sense. Her third novel, While I'm Falling (Hyperion), will be published in August of 2009.
