Sharon O'Brien

Associate Professor of Political Science
Primary office:

(Ph.D., University of Oregon) Dr. O'Brien has a dual appointment in global indigenous nations studies and political science. She has published American Indian Tribal Governments, and several articles and law reviews concerning rights of American Indians. She serves as the co-director of the Tribal Law and Government Center at the KU School of Law and as the GINSP Graduate Student Advisor. Her research is focused on federal Indian law, tribal governments, and international law.
