Jeffery Weinberg moved to Lawrence from Southeastern Kansas and has made Lawrence his home for over 50 years. Among other positions, Weinberg was named Assistant Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, Assistant to Chancellors Robert Hemenway and Bernadette Gray-Little, and in 2012 an Honors Fellow in the Honors Program. He currently serves on the National Board of the Spencer Museum of Art and on the Board of the Max Kade Center for German-American Studies. Throughout his career he has held teaching appointments in the Graduate School, Western Civilization, and the Honors Program. Active in international affairs, Weinberg has travelled widely and is an advisor to, or founding board member of, several international foundations and organizations. Weinberg is a painter and his work may be found in galleries, museums and private art collections in the United States and abroad.
